Vegan Affiliate Programs: Where to find the best ones in 2021!

What are vegan affiliate programs?

Vegan affiliate programs are a type of performance-based marketing. They involve a business rewarding one or more affiliates for driving customers to purchase or engage with their vegan products or services through the affiliate’s own marketing efforts.

Table of Contents

In this Free Resource, we look at some of the best places that you can find vegan affiliate programs right now.

Am I a good fit for a vegan affiliate program?

Vegan affiliate programs are ideal for you if:

  • you’re looking to promote vegan or plant-based products to attract additional revenue for your business
  • you’re ready to start a blog or website with content related to fitness, health, cosmetics, food, nutrition, or other topics of interest to vegan / plant-based consumers (or you have already one)
  • you want social media content that helps you show that you’re connected to the vegan market
  • you’re a business looking to increase your sales and marketing by creating a vegan affiliate program

Don’t know what to look for? Want to know if there is a big enough market for your content? Scroll through our free resource that explains the vegan market. As a vegan affiliate marketer, you could make money via cosmetics, food, books, online training, fashion, and many other vegan products and services!

For example, let’s say you’re running vegan cheese making workshops. You can embed affiliate links to a couple of recommended nutmilk bags with the invoice or certificate you send your students. You could also share them on social media to help drive engagement while scoring some income in the process. You’re earning money through referral. It’s a great way to monetize your site if you’re a blogger too.

Think outside the box. It’s worth it!

Most people think of the vegan cuts affiliate program, but many businesses offer vegan affiliate products.

If you have a business, you’d be surprised by how much affiliates can help you. Affiliate marketers are generally making money only when you are, although you can set up a ‘pay per click’ arrangement if you’re confident that traffic will lead to sales. With an affiliate network, affiliate tracking is easy too. It’s like having your own affiliate manager who looks after your payout and affiliate marketing programs for you!

Either way, affiliate marketing vegan products is a great way to make money.

How we created this list of vegan affiliate programs.

It took us weeks, to prepare this resource for you.

Firstly, we applied to every single affiliate network on this list… and a few more that didn’t make the final cut! Secondly, we explored the quality and number of vegan affiliate programs available inside. Finally, we checked the fine-print about payment and other requirements.

We are happy to recommend you consider the first five on the list. These are generally easy to apply for, have good offerings and are reasonable in terms of fine-print about rules and payment.

You’ll also see information about another ten (listed below grumpy cat) that have their merits but didn’t make it into our top list.

Most of these platforms pay via services like Payoneer or Transferwise.

If you sign up to Payoneer or Transferwise before applying to become an affiliate, you’ll be ready to get paid as soon as you’re approved!

Where you can find vegan affiliate programs… the list.

a global affiliate marketing network

AWIN is a well known platform with a lot of options. For example, they host the incredible Etsy affiliate program including thousands of vegan products. You can sign up to the affiliate programs of Vegan Outfitters, The Body Shop, MyVegan UK, All Around Vegan, and the UK’s GreenBay vegan supermarket here too.

When you apply to join AWIN, you need to pay them a nominal fee in order to verify your identity. The fee is reimbursed in the your first affiliate payment. You can expect this fee to be around USD $5.

The great system and huge variety of options means that we are willing to recommend AWIN.

AWIN has a partnership with SkimLinks, so if you’ve signed up for that network you may be able to tap into opportunities you’ll find in this one.

easy with great options

Jackpot! This affiliate network has some of the best-loved global brands in the vegan and plant-based scene.

You’ll find gorgeous offerings like The Vegan Kind

This is a well established platform, formerly known as VigLink. The rules are reasonable. Payment is simple and they offer support.

We can’t ask for much more!

very professional global opportunities

ClickBank has a wide variety of vegan products available for affiliates.

ClickBank offers to welcome you if you’re a super affiliate or just beginning your marketing career. For over 20 years, ClickBank has partnered with affiliates around the world to sell to over 200 million customers. In that time, affiliates have earned more than $4.2 billion in commissions.

As a member, you can also access the ClickBank University. You can learn how to make money online with courses in performance marketing.

a leading affiliate network for digital products

Around since 2001, JVZoo has some plant-based affiliate programs on offer. Plus, things change all the time so it’s worth keeping an eye out for opportunities in this network.

JVZoo prides itself on providing an easy-to-use network that is friendly for beginners.

They seem to pay mostly on a cost-per-sale (CPS) basis, but have been known to have cost-per-click (CPC) programs as well.

Above all, you could get instant payment of your commission into PayPal. In contrast, other sites pay-out only after you reach a threshold (e.g. US $50). It’s an attractive feature.

easy to use and professional

Keep an eye on MaxBounty for vegan affiliate products and service campaigns.

We’ve included this network because things change all the time! Their affiliate campaigns are generally for digital products, so that’s worth keeping in mind.

Once you apply, your application will need to be reviewed. After that, you’ll be contacted for an audio interview. In our experience, the interview takes less than 5 minutes.

You’ll get an account manager that you can contact for help and advice. They’re actually very proactive and helpful. We were surpised!

Weekly payments ($100 minimum) are reportedly available via Check, Intercash, eCheck, ACH, and Wire.  But if you’re banking offshore, like us, you may only see Payoneer on the list of options.

some good brands

Impact isn’t super easy to set up, but you can find a couple of good brands here.

Search for great companies like Canva and Envato Elements. It’s good option if you want to sign up with niche companies that are both popular and vegan-friendly.

Impact pays through Electronic Funds Transfer to your bank account or via PayPal. Their minimum payment threshold is US $10, but you can set a high threshold if you like.

easy to set up but few vegan options

Pepperjam has a few vegan programs. Look in the beauty and grocery categories.

The network is easy to join and seems very user friendly, so it’s worth considering.

They pay twice a month by Direct Deposit, Cheque, or PayPal. Their payment threshold is US $25.

not the easiest to set up but lots of programs

FlexOffers has millions of products and services across 12,000+ affiliate programs. You’ll get a dedicated account manager. One is assigned to every Publisher (affiliate) account.

They pay publishers on a NET 60 basis, and top performers via NET 7. There are multiple payment options, including PayPal.

Getting set up isn’t straight forward though. To verify your website, you’re going to need to add a meta tag to your website.  If that sounds too technical, we recommend you consider one of the alternative networks. Also, in our experience their system has difficulties sending an SMS code to international phone numbers to verify the mobiles of international affiliates.

We don’t recommend this one, unless you’re not interested in any of the eaiser ones. In that case, it would be worth signing up for free and checking out the campaigns that are available.

if you have a uk focus

Paid on Results has very few vegan merchant options, so we don’t recommend them above others. However, they are very user friendly and worth knowing about.

This is an affiliate marketing network for affiliate programs in the UK. It was established in 2002.

Unlike other affiliate networks, you can see the list of their merchants without signing up. For example, look for the popular subscription box products from The Vegan Kind here.

Payment thresholds are £25 for affiliates inside the UK and £50 for affiliates outside the UK. Paid on Results pays affiliates 6 weeks after the end of the month in which they have made a sale or action. But you can request to change to a payment upon request model after your first couple of payments.

for advanced affiliates happy to pay fees

Alibaba is a leading business to business market place, but we’re not recommending it. Their offering includes vegan and plant-based products.

They claim to record breaking traffic, beautiful advertisements and high commissions.

But, this platform isn’t for newbies. In order to verify your website, you’re going to need to add a verification file to the root directory of your website.  If that sounds too technical, we recommend you consider one of the alternative networks. Also, there is a US $15 processing fee each time you withdraw commissions. Ouch!

a leading affiliate network for digital products

Rakuten has been in operation since 1996.

It isn’t easy to search for products and programs in Rakuten LinkShare. A search for ‘vegan’ options will also yield results about Vegas, so it’s a little ineffective. After sifting through the results, we found only one product that was suitable for the plant-based or vegan market.

In addition, this platform is not as appropriate for new affiliates as others. It will best suit you if you’re a seasoned affiliate with a proven track record.

Great variety but hard to earn commissions.

Ebay has a good variety of vegan and plant-based products. Generally commissions are between 1% to 6%.

Still, we don’t recommend it because you only earn a commission if people buy within 24 hours of clicking on your affiliate link. Your commissions can be impacted by returns and lost deliveries as well. In addition, it lacks cost per action opportunities.

We have listed Ebay Partners for your consideration purely because of its size and reach.

one of the most famous affiliate platforms

We’re huge fans of Amazon Associates… BUT, we don’t recommend them for the plant-based food market. Why? Because grocery sales only earn a 1% fee. You could try for vegan beauty products or books, but these aren’t the largest opportunities in this sector. Also, the rules are very strict and limiting.

There is also an “Amazon Influencer Program” though. It’s worth noting. With the Influencer Program, you get your own page on Amazon with a URL. You can use it to showcase the products you recommend to your followers. It gives you an additional way to direct traffic to Amazon, which is useful where hyperlinking isn’t possible (e.g. Instagram captions or video content.)

Once you generate three qualified sales, they’ll review your website or social account activities associated with your application to ensure that you are in compliance with their rules.

An option for advanced affiliates

CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction) has an interesting variety of vegan products and services available for affiliates. Options include cosmetics, food products, shoes and supplements.

They’ve been in the business for over 20 years. And, CJ Affiliate calls its affiliates ‘publishers’. Their publishers include big names like CNN, Time Magazine and BuzzFeed. They have a global Publisher Development division to support and advise affiliates, with an average tenure of over 7 years in the industry.

Payment is through direct deposit and Payoneer.

We don’t recommend you join this platform unless you’re willing to bring your A-Game. It can be hard to compete and make the most of the opportunities available.

hard to join and mostly small to medium business offerings

ShareASale isn’t a network that we can recommend at this tme because it’s not easy to be approved.

ShareASale stands out as an affiliates programs site. It’s different because you can be an affiliate for the vegan products and services of family businesses.

Beyond this ‘feel good’ point of difference, ShareASale also lists affiliate programs offered by larger companies and famous brands.

They pay by cheque or direct deposit to a limited number of countries.

lacks vegan programs and pays two months in arrears

We couldn’t find any vegan affiliate programs or advertisments on the Tradedoubler website, but we’ve included it because that situation could change by the time you’re reading this.

Tradedoubler is a network for both publisher and influencer affiliates. It started in Sweden in 1999.

They’re based in 10 countries and do business in 81 countries. They can work with #clients anywhere in the world

They host over 2000 advertiser brands and over 180,000 affiliates.

Payments are made once a month, every third Tuesday of the month, with a minimum payment amount of £30 and payment made two months in arrears.

digital products network

We could only find a couple of basic vegan affiliate products on this website. They were books with private label rights. But, we’ve included it because that situation could change by the time you’re reading this.

Warrior Plus affiliate programs include a lot of online courses and “make money” marketing programs.

Warrior Plus is best for experienced affiliates who know how to evaluate the refund rules and other merits of a program. Like, very carefully.

Consequently, it’s not one we’re recommending.
